Message from DCMS – Government publications on counter-terrorism

On 10th July 2006 the Government published two documents. The first summarises its strategy for countering terrorism. The second explains how the level of terrorist threat will in future be determined and made public. If you have any questions about these documents contact the Humanitarian Assistance Unit on .

In the coming weeks, we also hope to publish a record of the lessons we think government has learnt from 7th July about how the response could be improved. That document will be grounded in the points you have made to us about your experiences.

We want to let you know how we are following them up, and to provide you with an opportunity to comment or respond. We’ll provide more detail in due course.
